Healthy Living
This is a one-week Level 1 Award in Healthy Living. The qualification is designed to give you the knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of healthy living including how to keep a healthy body weight, the requirements of a healthy diet and keeping a healthy lifestyle.
Emergency First Aid Training
This 2 day training programme is classroom based and comprises both theory and practical teaching. The course includes:
- Introduction to first aid
- Care of the unconscious casualty
- Resuscitation for adults, babies and children
- Dealing with asthma patients, heart-attack, head injury, epileptic fits, etc
- Controlled bleeding
- Burns and scalds
- Contents of first aid boxes
- Reporting accidents and incidents
Independent Travelling Skills (ITS)
Travel training is a great way of supporting people with learning difficulties to access training or employment opportunities. Too often, people with learning difficulties experience disadvantage, not because of an inability to do a particular job or training programme, but simply because of the barriers to getting there.
Travel training equips young people with learning difficulties to travel independently, improving their long-term employability as well as promoting independence – and its avoids providing expensive door-to-door transport
We provide one-to-one travel travelling programmes for people with a disability or learning difficulty to help them gain independent travelling skills. It is a fully customised programme depending on the learner’s needs
