London red bus drivers - recruiting now

We currently recruiting experienced bus drivers who are interested in driving for our London red bus services. If you have a full, clean PCV licence and are interested in working from our Ash Grove bus depot in Hackney - or our Walthamstow Avenue depot in Walthamstow - we would be delighted to hear from you.

Training & Support Work – Young People, Surrey, £Comp

Working as an Independent Travel Trainer is a rewarding role supporting young people to learn how to travel independently.

Our Independent Travel Trainers are based in the community, working one-to-one to support young people with special educational needs to travel independently using public transport. Our training helps enhance their independence and ultimately improve their life chances, increasing access to new activities, employment and education.

Travel training experience is not required as a full training package will be provided to successful candidates. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can work independently to join our brand new Surrey team.

Successful candidates will need to have good communication skills and display a caring, patient and level headed attitude in the delivery of training. They will have a genuine interest in working with young people and have the ability to communicate in a clear, pleasant and friendly manner. Candidates must have an excellent awareness of personal safety, be organised, punctual and be able to deliver training positively with energy and enthusiasm.

Travel Trainers will be contracted to work between 20-25 hours per week on a split shift, operating at school drop off and pick up times (approx. 7.30 – 9.30 am and 2.30 – 4.30 pm). Additional hours may be available depending on each training assignment. A full driving licence and access to a car is advantageous but not essential, with mileage paid for as required.

PCV bus drivers, Stockport & Rochdale, £comp

Manchester Community Transport, one of the largest Community Transport Operators in Greater Manchester and a part of the HCT Group is recruiting experienced bus drivers to work on contracts with TfGM.

Applicants must be over 21 years old, with a full PSV licence and CPC entitlement with a maximum of 6 penalty points. Experience of driving passenger carrying vehicles is required along with excellent customer service skills.
Applicants will be required to work shifts on a 5 over 7 day basis and have a flexible approach to the work duties. We offer competitive rates of pay for an average 39 hour week + OT, if required.

Group Engineering Director, Nationwide, £comp

HCT Group is seeking to recruit a full time Group Engineering Director to join their team.

The Group Engineering Director is responsible for the development and implementation of Group-wide engineering, health and safety and environmental strategies for the organisation plus the development of efficient and effective engineering departments in line with legal duties, budgetary control and best practice.

The ideal candidate will have experience in public transport, managing remote staff, constructing business plans and be confident in developing policies and procedures. You will also have a clear understanding of transport law, environmental law and the public sector procurement process. Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial.

The successful candidate will be qualified in NEBOSH, BSc (Eng) mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering qualification.

This role will involve traveling to HCT Group locations throughout the UK and Channel Islands.

Operations Manager, Rotherham, Hellaby, £comp

CT Plus Yorkshire is a successful and growing passenger transport company with depots in Leeds, Wakefield and Rotherham.

In line with this growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen at our newly acquired Powell's operation in Rotherham.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager who will be accountable for the day-to-day operation of the services in Rotherham and surrounding area.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of operational management in the bus industry with the ability to innovate, achieve growth and ensure that all services are operated to a high level of quality and safety whilst meeting budgetary requirements.

An essential requirement for the role is that the candidate holds a National or International CPC qualification in the passenger transport industry. Experience of developing individuals and teams to maximise their potential is also required. Additionally, experience of onsite engineering is desirable.

A vacancy has arisen at our Learning Centre for a Curriculum and Quality Manager. This is a Management role within the Centre Management Team, contributing to the strategic management and development of all aspects of the Care, Education and Employability Specialist Curriculum Areas.

We are seeking an experienced individual to provide leadership, management and direction for learning and teaching, curriculum development and the provision of a high quality learner experience. To provide an effective leadership impact, ensuring consistent efficiency, effectiveness and quality of service to learners at every level. To act as first line manager for allocated staff, ensuring that staff are effectively managed, deployed and developed, and that the Centre’s strategic and operational targets are achieved.

The successful candidate will have management experience of Curriculum teams and evidence of having led on change/curriculum innovation, especially in relation to vocational provision.
Essential requirements for the role are that the candidate holds a degree or equivalent and qualified teacher status.

We are recruiting drivers to work on our contracts providing Special Educational Needs transport in Waltham Forest.

Based out of our Walthamstow Avenue Depot near the Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium, we offer a competitive rate of pay, an average of 25 hours per week during school terms times, approx 39 weeks per year. Additional overtime may also be available. Annual leave to be taken during school holidays.

MyBus drivers, Leeds and Wakefield depots, from £9.19 per hour

CT Plus Yorkshire currently has a number of vacancies at its Leeds and Wakefield depots for qualified PCV drivers to deliver its MyBus home to school services.

A variety of vacancies currently exist as term time only drivers operating from our Leeds depot. Applicants must hold a valid Category D entitlement to drive PCV vehicles on their license, have no more than 6 penalty points and have completed their driver CPC qualification. They will also be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check as the posts will involve working with children.

We offer competitive rates of pay, starting from £9.19 per hour as well as training and other benefits.
