Customer Services Administrator, Bristol, £comp

Bristol Community Transport is our community transport operation in Bristol, providing a range of transport services for residents and communities across the city including Dial-a-Ride, minibuses for community groups, community bus services and community car services.

We are looking to appoint a Customer Services Administrator to help our customers meet their transport needs. The role will involve handling telephone calls from our customers, arranging and coordinating journeys using the organisation’s computerised systems, and coordinating our team of drivers.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to able to engage with a wide range of audiences – particularly disabled people, older people and people with health conditions, with a real understanding of the issues affecting those groups. PSV Fleet Technician (Fitter) x2, Stockport, £neg

Manchester Community Transport, the largest community transport operator in Greater Manchester and a part of the HCT Group, has two vacancies for full time PSV-trained fleet maintenance technicians at our Stockport depot.

The post holders will have a key role in the day to day operation of our maintenance facility, ensuring that our vehicles and those of our external customers are maintained to the required legal and operational standards in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner.

The successful candidates will be qualified to NVQ level 3 or City and Guilds Level 3 with preferably 2 years’ experience. A full PCV licence along with electrical and diagnostic experience would be a distinct advantage.

Independent Travel Coordinator, £Comp, Surrey

We have won an exciting new contract to deliver an innovative Independent Travel Training service in Surrey, supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to travel independently, greatly enhancing their lives and life chances. We are recruiting a project coordinator, who will have a background in supporting vulnerable people.

You will be responsible for developing and quality assuring the service, helping generate referrals by working with schools and parent carer groups to encourage participation. You will supervise a team of trainers, providing training and guidance and ensuring a well-run, person centred, high quality service is delivered to all.

Successful candidates will have experience of working with multiple stakeholders, demonstrate an understanding of disability issues and have exceptional communication skills. Essential for the role are excellent organisational skills and experience of risk assessment and management. PCV SEN drivers, Hammersmith & Fulham, £comp, 30 hrs (min) per week

We are recruiting bus drivers to work on our contracts providing Special Educational Needs transport in Hammersmith & Fulham.

Based out of our Bagleys Lane depot in Hammersmith & Fulham, we offer a competitive rate of pay, a minimum of 30 hours per week, term time only - approx 38 weeks per year.

Drivers will require a full D1 or D category PCV licence, relevant CPC qualification, and must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check.

Travel Trainers, Lambeth, £comp

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who can work independently to join our fast growing team of Travel Trainers in Lambeth.  Travel Training is a highly responsible and rewarding job, working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to help enhance their independence - and ultimately improve their life chances.

Travel Trainers work between 16-20 hours per week on a split shift, operating at school drop off and pick up times (approx. 7.30 – 9.30 am and 2.30 – 4.30 pm).  They are based in the community, working one-to-one to support individuals to travel independently using public transport.  These roles are based in Lambeth, with some requirement to travel to neighbouring boroughs as they accompany our young people to their schools or other educational establishments.

Successful candidates will need to have good communication skills, demonstrate an understanding of disability issues, and display a caring, patient and level headed attitude in the delivery of the service. They will have a genuine interest in working with vulnerable people and have the ability to communicate with people in a clear, pleasant and friendly manner. They must also be willing to undertake and to satisfy an enhanced DBS check.  Travel Training experience is not required as a full training package will be provided.

Based out of our Walthamstow Avenue Depot near the Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium, we offer a competitive rate of pay, an average of 25 hours per week during school terms times, approx 39 weeks per year. Additional overtime may also be available. Annual leave to be taken during school holidays.

Experienced PCV Engineers, Hackney, £Competitive

We are seeking experienced Engineers to join our busy engineering team at Ash Grove depot, Hackney. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor/Workshop Manager, the post-holders will provide engineering and maintenance for our fleet in accordance with the Company’s policies and standards, ensuring we can provide a consistently reliable, safe, high quality and punctual service. The role is offered on a shift-basis, and may include nights and weekends.

The successful candidate will have served a recognised apprenticeship and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance. You will have previous experience of maintaining PSV vehicles and the ability to accurately diagnose and repair basic or complex vehicle faults. You will also have an excellent working knowledge of all daily site procedures, engineering processes, health and safety, vehicle regulations and VOSA standards. Ideally, you will be an IRTEC Accredited Inspector and hold a PSV Licence.

MyBus drivers, Leeds and Wakefield depots, from £9.19 per hour

CT Plus Yorkshire currently has a number of vacancies at its Leeds and Wakefield depots for qualified PCV drivers to deliver its MyBus home to school services.

A variety of vacancies currently exist as term time only drivers operating from our Leeds depot. Applicants must hold a valid Category D entitlement to drive PCV vehicles on their license, have no more than 6 penalty points and have completed their driver CPC qualification. They will also be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check as the posts will involve working with children.

We offer competitive rates of pay, starting from £9.19 per hour as well as training and other benefits.
