Impact and Enterprise

11 June | 10:00 – 16:00 | Buzzacott, 130 Wood Street, London EC2V 6DL

In June, HCT Group and the Community Transport Association - the membership body representing the UK's Community Transport Organisations - are running an event to explore what it means for a community transport provider to have an entrepreneurial approach to their activities. The event also explores the support  available for organisations who want to explore new and different ways to raise funds through their trading activities - including HCT Group's Future Journeys programme.

The event is aimed at the increasing number of community transport providers who are deciding that their mission and vision complements being more enterprising – enabling them to provide even more social good in their communities.

The event is free to attend for CTA members with lunch and refreshments provided, and attendees will hear from a range of voices including:

  • Community transport providers who are shaking up the way they fund their services.
  • The Community Transport Association on tools to help you grow your organisation.
  • Social Enterprise UK on how you can tap into a £60bn sector.
  • HCT Group on the practical steps you can take towards organisational sustainability.

The event will look at how to strengthen the business model of your organisation as traditional forms of funding become more and more squeezed. We will also look at the characteristics of organisations who have been successful in spotting and implementing a new idea and how you can apply those characteristics to your organisation and services.

More detailed information about what to expect on the day, including the programme and breakout sessions, will be released in the coming weeks. Please book via the CTA website.

Please Note: If at any point you become unable to attend the event please make sure to let us know as there will be a £20 administration fee if you cancel less than a week before the event.

If you’re not a CTA member you can still book onto the event at a cost of £40 – please email hello@ctauk.org to book.
